Do you need lower ranked players on your team?

The short answer is a defeaning YES!!  With the team handicap limit, in ANY league, the better you get the higher your handicap and your team will not be able to field four players with a combined handicap below the team handicap limit.  Sure, you can have a great players on your team but what good is it if they can't play?  The lower ranked players enable you to play those great players.  They also give you flexibility in who to play as well.  Not only that ALL lower ranked players would love to be better and what better place to learn than from great players?  And the handicap system is built to give EVERYONE a 50-50 chance of winning.  So they can win just as much as your great players.  Their races will be shorter.  They get more time outs.  They are a ASSET to the team!!  You should have a well rounded team of two great players, two middle of the road players, and two low ranked players.  This gives you many, many options to play!  There are only good things that will happen when you have lower ranked players on your team.  It is one of the most overlooked ways to win!  So why not give it a try?
