WHY PLAY NAPA?

GREAT question.  Answer...Because we are different when it comes to pool leagues....here's why

  • NO ANNUAL DUES!  Other leagues charge up to $25/year per player a year.  NAPA charges $ 0.  Savings up to $150 per team.

  • FIRST and ONLY national league with electronic scoring.  Paperless!  RESULTS THE NEXT DAY!!

  • Flexible format.  3, 4, or 5 person teams.  8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball, Scotch Doubles, and Laggers Choice formats.  Four person teams are great for couples.  We currently shoot 4 person teams on bar tables with ball in hand rules.  It is not a "slop" league.  You have to call your ball and pocket (except for 9 ball).

  • Higher payouts for 4 person team compared to other league 5 person teams.  More money to split fewer ways!  How High?  Check it out HERE.

  • Deeper payouts.  We pay 50% of the teams not just the top 2-3 and still pay HIGHER than other leagues.  This is flexible as it is YOUR league.

  • LOCAL major tournament just like Nationals.  $1 of each players weekly dues goes to fund this tournament in Columbia MO.  It was $6,000 in 2014, $7,500 in 2015, and $9,000 in 2016 and 2017!  In 2018 it should be $10,000+.  No entry fee.  To qualify just play two seasons out of three and at least five matches in each season.  That's it!!  But to be eligible to play in these tournament you must play NAPA league.

  • Simplified score system.  No tracking innings or balls made or missed.  A "W" or "L".  Then add "bonus" points (8 on the break, break and run, or not losing a game and winning the break called a rackless).  Now paperless so it is even easier!  NAPA is the only national pool league with paperless scoring!  www.NAPAPLAY.com

  • Accurate handicap system out of the hands of the league operator.  Race is determined by difference in handicaps.  Your handicap WILL change each time you shoot and it will be visible on your own home page as well as a history of every match you have played while in NAPA.

  • Expanded handicap system from 0 to no upper limit.  Currently the highest in nation is a 129 (but only 110 count against the team handicap).  260 is the maximum skill level points for a four person team.  Be sure to include the lower skill level players on your team.  You can also vote to raise this team handicap.  To find out your NAPA handicap from your APA handicap just add a 0 and then add 10.  For example if you are a 4 in APA, add 0 to make 40, and then add 10, to make 50!  You are a 50 in NAPA.  No more high 4 skill level being the same race as a low 4 skill level playing a skill level 3.  You know exactly where you are.  A high 4 playing a low 3 is different race than a low 4 playing a low 3.

  • Each player has their own web page on the national site with detailed history.

So the question is not why play NAPA..... but
WHY NOT play NAPA?
