About NAPA

NAPA 2013 Nationals will be held June 21-30, 2013 at Harrahs Casino in Tunica MS.

Schedule of Events.

Registration for NAPA Nationals.

How do I qualify?
Actually a number of ways. To qualify here is what you have to do:

· Play on a first place team.
· Captain a team for the entire season with no more than three forfeits.
· Complete the season as the Top Point Male or Top Point Female for the local league.
· Finish as the Top Point Player on your team.
· Nationals qualifier locally.

For any LOCAL Nationals Qualifiers the format will be DOUBLE ELIMINATION, luck of the draw, playing the normal handicap matrix. There will be a cost of $20 for entry and it will go to NAPA to add to the prize fund.

The required number of players to hold a qualifying event are as follows:

  • 4-6 players - only the winner qualifies
  • 7-8 players - 1st and 2nd qualify
  • 9-12 players - 1st thru 3rd qualify
  • 13-16 players - 1st thru 4th qualify

Keep in mind that if you qualify for nationals within 30 days of the event you can delay your travel to the NEXT nationals!!

How much will it cost? As mentioned before, there is no entry fee at nationals. You will have to provide your own way to NAPA Nationals and your own lodging and travel expenses. Once there you will have to share quarters to play the games during the tournament and practice. NAPA is charging a one time registration fee of $15 and a $40 greens fee for each event instead of quarters for the table. Unlimited practice and no quarters for the minis during the day but after 10 PM you will have to pay for quarters.

Questions you may have on qualifying for NAPA Nationals.

I am on the last place team. Can I still play at NAPA Nationals?
That is OK. In NAPA competition is by team or by individual. Even if you are on the last place team your can qualify for nationals. As mentioned above, you can be team captain with no more than 3 forfeits on your team for the season and you are qualified. Also, if you are the Top Point Player on your team you are qualified. You can also play in local national qualifiers. Therefore, even on the last place team, you have three ways to get to nationals and compete for $75,000!
