About NAPA

WHY PLAY NAPA?

GREAT question.

Because we are different when it comes to pool leagues.

ADVANATAGES:

  • NO ANNUAL FEES! Other leagues charge up to $25/year per player a year. We charge $ 0. Savings up to $150 per team.

  • Flexible format. 3, 4, or 5 person teams. 8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball, and Laggers Choice formats. Four person teams are great for couples. We currently shoot 4 person teams on bar tables with ball in hand rules. It is not a "slop" league. You have to call your ball and pocket (except for 9 ball).

  • Higher payouts for 4 person team compared to other league 5 person teams. More money to split fewer ways!

  • Deeper payouts. We pay 50% of the teams not just the top 2-3 and still pay HIGHER than other leagues.

  • Simplified score system. No tracking innings or balls made or missed. A "W" or "L". Then add "bonus" points (8 on the break, break and run, or not losing a game and winning the break called a rackless).

  • Accurate handicap system out of the hands of the league operator. Race is determined by difference in handicaps. For example, no more high 4 skill level being the same race as a low 4 skill level playing a skill level 3. You know exactly where you are. A high 4 playing a low 3 is different race than a low 4 playing a low 3.

  • Expanded handicap system from 0 to no upper limit. Currently the highest in nation is a 153. 260 is the maximum skill level points for a four person team. Be sure to include the lower skill level players on your team.

  • Nationals qualification is easy. Being a team captain, the top point scorer on your team, or the top male or female scorer in the league qualifies you for free entry into the nationals tournament.

  • Nationals qualification is local. No more traveling to a regional, paying the entry fees and traveling expenses only to find out you cannot go.

  • Nationals is SINGLES. No more YOU shooting great and the team NOT and not winning money. No entry fee to a $75,000 national tournament. It will always be in the Midwest! In 2011 it was in Little Rock. In 2012 it was in Nashville. In 2013 it is in Tunica.

  • Each player has their own web page on the national site with detailed history.

So the question is not why play NAPA but WHY NOT?
