About NAPA

PROCEDURES FOR NAPA LEAGUE NIGHT

The first night of anything is exciting but sometimes you can be apprehensive. Here is what to expect at league.

1. Someone on the team should have printed out the schedule and the two sheets needed for each league night: Weekly Scratch that tells you the status of each team and individuals and the Match Sheet for your specific match. Start at 7 PM. Must start by 7:15 PM.

2. Please notify the other team before you start if someone on your team will not be present that night or will be late.

3. The HOME team decides which table to shoot on AND which team picks first for the first match. Alternate who puts up first on the remaining matches of the night.

4. WHOEVER WINS THE LAG is put on the top line of the score sheet and breaks. Fill out the rest of the information for the match. The information can be found on the comp sheet. It will also give races for each person.

5. Scorekeeping is simple. Place a W in the G1 (game one) column for whoever won the first game. Place a W in the G2 column (game two) of who ever won the second game and so on. After the match is complete put the number of games WON at the right. Then add bonus points.

a. If a player made the 8 on the break place a mark(s) in the appropriate column. If a player had a break and run place a mark(s) in the appropriate column. If a player had a Rackless" match (winning the lag AND winning all the games NEVER touching the rack) place a mark in the appropriate column.

b. The winner will only receive 14 or 20 points plus bonus. If a player wins every game without a loss they get 20 points. If a player wins but lost at least one game they get 14 points.

c. The loser will only receive 1 or 3 points plus bonus. If a player lost and did not win any games they get 1 point. If a player lost but won at least one game they get 3 points. Then add the bonus points.

d. For example if a player won the lag and won every game they receive 20 points for winning and 1 point for a rackless match for a total of 21 plus any other bonus points.

e. If a player won every game but LOST the lag they would receive only 14 points plus bonus points. No rackless because he had to rack the first game.

f. If a player won but lost at least one game they would receive 14 points but no rackless because he had to rack one game.

g. If a player lost every game they get 1 point.

h. If a player lost but won at least one game they get 3 points plus bonus points.

6. On a four person team no more than 260 points can be played by a team. Going above 260 is a forfeit for that match.

7. Total all the match points plus bonus and place in the total column. If you are the HOME team place a CHECK(S) for team fees from BOTH teams for the appropriate amount and BOTH score sheets in the pre-addressed and stamped envelope and place in the mailbox that night or early the next day. Each team is responsible for their own fees and score sheet.

This is a gentleman's game. If there are any questions please call to get an answer. Dave at 573-268-6385
