#1. NEW WEBSITE & MOBILE SITE. Today, we have released the new NAPA website and mobile site. The new web site is a complete rebuild from the ground up and is designed to be SEAMLESS for your viewing enjoyment WHETHER you are on a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. Regardless of your device, the website is designed to function and operate the same WITHOUT multiple looks and feel. It's all one unit now.
#2. NEW NRP (NAPA Rewards Program). Over the last few months we have been deeply evaluating the NAPA NRP and the loopholes our "Treasure Hunters" have been exploiting. The NAPA NRP has been effective in that it encourages players to play more matches in your local leagues in order to save them money on their tour stop entry fees and the Super Shooters Championship. While this has been effective and the players refer it often, there is LITTLE penalty on the "Treasure Hunters" who only play the minimum five (5) matches to enter a tour stop. They play the tour stop and they are never seen again until the NEXT tour stop. It's too easy for the "Treasure Hunters" to play ONLY the minimum five matches with no added fees for doing so. This is not fair to your loyal players.
After many, many hours evaluating this we have decided to make a change to our NRP for the 2019 tour season.
We have designed the new NRP to reward the regular players. We have also created color levels in the NRP much like belts in Karate. The more you play, the more SIGNIFICANT your reward will be for doing so. The less you play the MUCH HIGHER fees are applied. The fees have been restructured. There are now 8-levels that players can achieve. On the new website design, you can find the new table on the Poolshooters Tour page. Each player's NRP is ALSO listed and color coded on the new player profile pages and they are color coded on each player's profile page with a link directly to the NRP Explained page. Playing only 5 to 9 matches JUST to get into a tour stop is going to COST the "Treasure Hunters". Being a regular player and supporter of your local leagues is going to HIGHLY reward them.
Beginning today, no longer will there be a separate NRP for each game format. Yes, you read that correctly. Moving forward 100% of each player's INDIVIDUAL matches in NAPA regardless of the game format (8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball, or Fast 8) will count as a whole. This is a huge deal for your players. We know because we have asked many of them. No longer will your 10-ball matches or Fast 8 matches be alienated from the NRP.
For example: If a player wants to play in the 8-ball tour stop tournament and has ONLY played in two matches in 8-ball in the last year BUT they have played seven 9-ball matches in the last year and perhaps three Fast 8 matches in the last year; they're NRP for the 8-ball tournament will be a NRP of 12.
Please note: Scotch Doubles does NOT apply towards a player's NRP.
#3. Many of your favorite player profile stats are back in full force. Simply go to your new profile page on the new website. Seasons, Monthly, Hill-to-Hill, Yearly, Rival Records, Race Bin and more. Not only that we have a new main page for each player profile that displays a player's current trend in their most recent 10 matches, last 30 days, last 60 days, and last 90 days. ALSO, for your team captains, each player's last 10 matches are given a trend assessment. Based on a player's recent performance their NAPA Assessment can be anything from:
+ On extreme fire! Ouch!
+ Highly recommended.
+ Solid performer.
+ Slightly above average. Good chances.
+ Average performance.
+ Risky. Choose a favorable race.
+ Possible slump. Needs coaching.
All of the new features on the player profile pages are incredibly valuable for your team captains. If they want to increase their winning chances, they REALLY should use these to their advantage.
#4. NEW RULES. YOU MUST REMAIN ACTIVE!
Rule 11.1 now has a VERY important clause that will be strictly enforced.
Even though a player may have earned a qualification for the Super Shooters Championship from a NAPA Tour Stop, they now must MAINTAIN their qualification. They will no longer be able to disappear off the face of the planet, stop supporting local leagues and then just show up at the national event with the intention of "Treasure Hunting". We're done with that. It has swarmed NAPA and its League Operators like a bad omen and we simply are not going to allow it anymore. From now on, players must MAINTAIN their qualification certificate. How do they do that? Here it is right from the rules manual, RULE 11.1.
"NOTE: In order for a player to maintain their qualification for the NAPA Super Shooters Championship they MUST have at least 10 matches played in the year leading up to the Super Shooters Championship and they MUST be on an active roster."
INCOMPLETE PACKETS & UNPAID DUES. Beginning today, ANY player who is NOT current with their league dues can be penalized by the League Operator and (more importantly) ANY player who is NOT current with their league dues is NO LONGER eligible for prize money. It is now in writing in the Official Rules Manual at www.naparules.com. Please read Rule #5.6 in 8-ball and Rule #5.8 in 9-ball and 10-ball.
#5. UNPAID LOCO FEATURE. League Operators now have the option to mark a player as having UNPAID DUES. When you do this, the main NAPA website it will highlight their name in the Standings AND in the Flex Point Standings as having unpaid dues. Also, if a player has unpaid dues and they play in a TEAMS division, the web site it will highlight their TEAM in the standings as well as having unpaid dues.
#6. SUPER SHOOTERS STANDINGS. NAPA HQ now keeps a full record of player standings for the new Super Shooters Championship. You can find them on the new website. We will be keeping these new standings every year from now on for your players who had the opportunity to participate in the annual event.
Here is an update to the Hyper League rules.
Rule #6.10
In order to play in a NAPA Hyper League, participants must have five (5) regular matches played in their local leagues (not Hyper League matches), in the same game format as the Hyper League within the previous 90-days leading up to the start of the Hyper League and participants must be on an active roster. Active military personnel are exempt from this rule.
There are many more bells and whistles. We encourage you to spread the word on the release of our new website and we implore you to let your players know about the new NRP and rule changes.

These changes, with more coming, is a sign that NAPA wants to make league the best and fairest league available.  I love their new website.  Let me know what you think.
