Columbia National Tour Stop
Aug 3-5, 2018
MO River Pub and Pool

Napa of Central Missouri is proud to announce it will be hosting a National Tour Stop at MO River Pub and Pool (they have diamond tables) so local, or regional, players can qualify for the Super Shooters Championship in New Orleans on Oct 1-6, 2018 at Buffalo Billiards (they have diamond tables).  NAPA will be adding $10,000 at the Super Shooters Championship.

One of the complaints NAPA received about Nationals was that players would travel there, be told where to stay, stay for a week, and then travel back home.  Not anymore!!  NAPA has introduced the NAPA Nationals Tour.  This is a number of Tour Stops around the country that you can EASILY drive to and participate in a one or two day national tournament and then go home.  They will have 8 ball and 9 ball tournaments with up to $500 added for each tournament.

What is a Satellite Tour Stop and how is it different from a National Tour Stop?  However, we are now a National Tour Stop!!
  • A National Tour Stop is for a venue that have at least 10 tables.  A Satellite Tour Stop is for venues that have less than 10 tables.

  • A National Tour Stop has added money of $500 for 8 Ball and $500 for 9 Ball.  A Satellite Tour Stop, due to fewer tables and therefore fewer players, has $500 added if more than 30 participants and $250 added with less than 30 participants.  A Satellite Tour Stop may also only have ONE format, ie 8 Ball, because of the fewer players.

Is Columbia the only Tour Stop?
  • More tour stops and satellite tour stops are being added monthly so one will come up near you.  Just go to www.napaleagues.com, click on "Poolshooters Tour", then "Tour Stops" to find all the ones that have been added.  The National Tour Stops are at the top of the page and the Satellite Tour Stops are at the bottom of the page.

  • Unique in the way it operates, players will be divided equally into four handicap brackets, you play a double elimination round until the top four.  When the top four from the four brackets are identified they play in a double elimination bracket to determine the winner.  The good part about it is when you reach the top four in your bracket you are qualified for the Super Shooters Championship in New Orleans where $10,000 will be added!

How much will it cost me?
You will have to pay $20 registration fee, $10 greens fee, and an entry fee determined by your NRP (NAPA Rewards Points).  Don't know aht an NRP is?  See the next question!  An easy way to find out APPROXIMATELY how much your entry fee will be is to go HERE.  Then add $30.

What is an NRP and why is it important?
The NRP is your NAPA Rewards Points.  The more you shoot the lower your NRP will be and the lower your cost to enter a Tour Stop.  To find out EXACTLY your total cost and to find out if you are qualified for the 8 ball or 9 ball tournament you can go to your player page and find out. (www.napaleagues.com, click on Player statistics, put in your last name, change North America to Missouri and click search.  Then click on your name.  When your page comes up you can see a heading of "Tour Eligibility".  Click on it and you will find information on each of the tour stops and if you are qualified and how much you have to pay to enter.

How much can I win?
  • 100% of the ENTRY fee goes to the players as payouts.  That amount is determined by the total of the players NRP entry fees plus the added money from NAPA.  For example if 64 players entered at an average of $40 then 64 x 40 = $2560 plus the $500 from NAPA gives a prize fund of $3060 for that format.  The top 25% of the field will get money so the top 16 will split the $3060.  Less players means less money for the payout.  So let's try for 64 players in 8 ball and 9 ball!!

  • The final four in 9 ball and the final four in 8 ball will also get plaques!

Now that I am interested how do I know I am qualified?
  • To shoot in 8 ball or 9 ball you have to be qualified.  You must have 5 NAPA sanctioned matches played in the last 365 days prior to the start of the event.

  • You must pay the entry fee, registration fee, and greens fee in advance by registering on the napa leagues website.  Just go to www.napaleagues.com, click on "Poolshooters Tour", then "Tour Stops".  and click on "Details and Registration" to register.
